Ch 4

Row 1: 9 dc in first ch, join with sl st.

Row 2: ch 3 (in place of first dc), dc in same st as previous dc,* dc, 2 dc in same st . Repeat from * until the end, join with sl st.

Row 3: ch 3 (in place of first dc), dc in next st, * 2dc in same st, dc in next 2 sts. Repeat from * until the end. Join with sl st.

Row 4-5: dc in each st until the end, join with sl st.

with white yarn:

Row 6: sc in each st, join with sl st. Fasten off.

5 dc in 4th ch from hook, drop loop from hook, insert hook in first ch made at the beginning, pull dropped loop through stitch.

droop loop from hook again, insert hook in 4 th ch made (the one that 5 dcs were made in), pull dropped loop.

Attach this on top of the hat (see picture)
