MATERIALS

Sport weight shaded yarn in blue and white (or in the colors of your preference)

hook size E/4

Raised double crochet at the front (1dc/rf)

Wrap the yarn around the hook, insert the hook from in front and from right lo left round the stem of the appropiate stitch and complete the stitch normally.

Raised double crochet at the back (1dc/rb)

Wrap the yarn around the hook, insert the hook from behind and from right lo left round the stem of the appropiate stitch and complete the stitch normally.

With blue yarn:

Ch 33

Row 1. Ch 3, 2 dc together in next 2 stitches . *1dc on each one of next 5 stitches [2dc, ch, 2dc] on next ch, 1 dc on each one of next 5 ch**, 5 dc together on next 5 ch; repeat from * to **. At the end of the row when there is 3 ch left, 3 dc together, turn.

Row 2. Ch 3, skip first stitch, 2 dc/rb together on next 2 stitches, * dc/rf around each one of the next 5 stitches, [2dc, ch, 2dc] on next ch 2 space, 1 dc/rf around each one of next 5 stitches**, 5 dc/rb together on 5 next stitches; repeat from * ending last repetition in ** when there is 3 stitches left, 3 dc/rb together, turn.

Row 3. Ch3, skip first stitch, 2 dc/rb together on next 2 stitches, * 1 dc/rf around each one of the next 5 stitches, [2dc, ch, 2dc] on next ch 2 space, 1 dc/rb around each one of next 5 stitches**, 5 dc/rb together on 5 next stitches; repeat from * ending last repetition in ** when there is 3 stitches left, 3 dc/rf together, turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until the scarf has a length of 40 inches

With white yarn:

Row 1: Crochet an edge of sc all around the scarf, join with sl st when the starting point is reached.

Row 2: *ch 8, sc in next stitch; repeat from * until starting point is reached.

With white yarn:

Ch 8, join with sl st to form a ring.

Row 1: 20 sc inside the ring, join with sl st when starting point is reached.

Row 2: 2 sc on each sc, join with sl st.

Row 3: 2 sc on each sc, joing with sl st, fasten off.

With blue yarn:

Ch 70.

Sc on each ch, fasten off.

Finishing:

Fold the scarf in half, cross the ends of the scarf at about 11 inches from the center (see main picture), attach the white round (flower) and pass the string through both parts of the scarf and the middle of the round, tie it in a bow.
